Irregular cystic mass of the oral pharynx

A cystic mass of the soft tissues of the oral cavity or mouth (oral pharynx) may be benign or could potentially be malignant. Statistically, cystic masses are less likely to be malignant than solid masses. Unfortunately we are unable to determine the exact nature of the lesion from a single scan.Dental work can limit visualization of the mouth as it distorts the images area, and thus the mouth is best visualized by your dentist.
