Bone island of the ankle

A bone island, also known as enostosis, is a benign, very dense region of compact bone within the normal bone structure. It is generally less than 2cm in size and is usually found incidentally. A condition where multiple bone islands occur is called osteopoikilosis.*Not covered in patients over 1.73m in height.*
